Research interests

Electrochemistry and Nanotechnology: Nanomaterials for Regenerative Fuel Cells and Li Batteries; Nanostructured Surfaces; Sensors and Biosensors.

Nanostructured surfaces and nanomaterials are of importance in research areas such as bio- and chemical-sensors and renewable energy and storage. Our research group has several projects geared in this direction. Typically, our students learn electrochemical and surface analysis techniques to test and characterize our nanotechnology driven materials. The routinely hands-on use of surface science and microscopy techniques, such as X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy to transmission electron, by students is expected.
