Dr. Ram S. Katiyar, Professor of Physics, was recently elected Fellow of the American Physical Society (http://aps.org/). The APS Fellowship is a distinction given after extensive review. This Fellowship reflects the honor and recognition by the professional peers of the Fellow's contributions to the advancement of Physics.  

Dr. Ram S. Katiyar was nominated by the Condensed Matter Physics (DCMP) Division and elected Fellow by the APS Council for his "contributions to the fabrication and characterization of ferroelectric thin films".
