Professor Chen’s work on searching superior hydrogen storage materials was published in Nano Letters.
Together with his excellent collaborators, Professor Zhen Zhou (Nankai University), Professor Zhixiang Wang (Chinese Academy of Science) and their group members, Professor Zhongfang Chen’s group has designed a series of novel hydrogen storage materials, including Ca-coated boron fullerenes and nanotubes (Nano Letters, DOI: 10.1021/nl900116q; ), Ti-Substituted Boranes (Chem. Eur. J, in press) and AlN nanowires/nanotubes (Nanotechnology, in press). These materials are very promising for experimental realizations, and the designing principles offer new ideas for further searching hydrogen storage materials.
